Most people don’t know how to invest their money to retire comfortably, avoid running out of money, and leave an inheritance to their beneficiaries.
Those with sufficient investment experience often need help sticking to their plan when it’s underperforming or when markets are in turmoil.
Seeking the help of a trusted financial advisor like Servo can be one of your best investments.
Servo founder Eric Nelson, who holds the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, has twenty-five years of financial advisory experience helping individuals and families plan and invest for their most essential financial goals while saving them the time they’d typically have to spend researching, studying, and staying on top of their finances.
Could Servo’s knowledge, experience, passion, and expertise help you?
What We Do
We help individuals and families create a plan and invest their savings to achieve their growth, spending, and inheritance goals.
We save our clients the significant amount of time that most people spend researching, analyzing, and tracking their investments and results, freeing them up to focus on more rewarding and enjoyable aspects of life.
We empower our clients to be more confident about their financial and investment decisions and develop greater peace of mind that they are on the right track to success.
How We Do It
We start with a plan to get you from where you are today to where you want to be, whether that’s simply growing your savings for the future or achieving a specific goal like retirement, ongoing income, or an inheritance for your beneficiaries.
From that plan, we design an investment portfolio that has historically earned the rate of return you will need to achieve your goals. We review that portfolio’s historical range of returns with you—especially the downturns—preparing for the inevitable investment uncertainties.
Finally, we review your financial progress with you regularly to ensure you are well-informed, confident, and disciplined.
How We Invest
We design and manage highly diversified, low-cost, and tax-efficient portfolios utilizing mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA).
Our portfolios rely on decades of academic research that finds your investment returns are primarily a function of a few “factors”: your stock and bond allocation, your mix of smaller and larger stocks, value and growth stocks, and higher or lower profitability stocks. Servo investment portfolios are “tilted” to stocks in general and smaller, lower priced, and more profitable companies where expected returns are higher.
We rebalance client portfolios to their original weights when an individual holding has deviated sufficiently from its target. Rebalancing helps promote discipline while avoiding emotional and irrational knee-jerk changes. As each client’s goals evolve, their portfolio evolves with them.
Servo Wealth Management is an independent, Registered Investment Advisory Firm (an “RIA”) founded in 2012 by Eric Nelson, CFA, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with clients in over a dozen states. Servo can work with clients throughout the US.
As an RIA, Servo Wealth Management has a fiduciary responsibility to act in the best interest of our clients. That means no hidden agendas, no undisclosed commissions, just honest and ethical advice, and experienced investment management informed by some of the brightest minds in finance.
Why Servo? For years, Eric worked at various firms in the financial industry but grew increasingly frustrated with some financial advisors’ ineptitude, dishonesty, and lack of knowledge when managing their clients’ investments. Only after working at Equius Partners in California did he discover how to deliver a better, more well-researched, evidence-based investment approach that could help his clients make the most of their hard-earned wealth.
In 2012, Eric left his friends at Equius, moved back to Oklahoma City, and founded Servo. Armed only with a passion for helping people and a deep understanding of investment markets and Asset Class Investing, Servo was born.
